Long time member Dorothy (Dot) Graves has moved to then Villages in SLO. As part of her transition, she donated two lovely quilts to CPWC for a raffle or auction to benefit the Campus ASI Children’s Center. Dot made these quilts in these 1970s but did not quite finish them. The Dresden Plate Quilt and Yo-Yo Quilt are classic patterns and are mostly hand stitched and quilted. The Yo-Yo quilt has over 2000 pieces and needs a backing to complete, while the Dresden Plate needs binding before we can auction these pieces.
Next time you see Dot, thank her for this generous donation!

Amendment XIX, August 26, 1920
“The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women's constitutional right to vote. This historic centennial offers an unparalleled opportunity” for the Cal Poly Women’s Club to commemorate a milestone of democracy and support the issues of equal voting rights today. To do this, the Cal Poly Women’s Club has partnered with the SLO County Recorders Office to “Adopt-a-Poll” on campus for the March 3, 2020 primary and the November 3, 2020 general election.
The campus polling place will include many volunteers from CPWC and friends--we need you!
